Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Could Add More Characters – These Are Our Top Picks

Nintendo has confirmed the fact that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will have more playable characters in the next wave of DLC. Here’s who gamers hope to see.

The fourth DLC wave for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is available and it’s the first one to introduce a new playable character to the roster. Wave Four treats players to Birdo who made her Mario Kart debut in Double Dash! The character has appeared in only some games since. The most exciting, however, is the newly updated screen for character selection. Birdo’s presence has added a new column to the roster that has five question marks taking up the remaining spaces, causing players to speculate on who they could be.

Nintendo has announced that the last two waves of DLC will add new characters playable in the roster but has not provided a clue as to who they may be. Because the majority of the DLC has consisted of tracks from the previous Mario Kart titles, it would make sense if all the DLC characters would be returning as well. But this does not mean that Nintendo won’t delight everyone with an entirely new character. In any case, the fans are buzzing with excitement as they make their predictions. There are a lot of possibilities however, these are the characters that gamers are most eager to see come to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Petey Piranha Is Mario’s Most Lovable Enemy

Just like Birdo, Petey Piranha made his driving debut in Mario Kart: Double Dash! He hasn’t been seen in any games since, aside from Mario Kart: Tour. As an early-game boss, he was introduced to Mario and has been a well-known baddie in every game where he’s appeared. Petey is the oversized mutant leader of the Piranha Plants. His iconic design for the character is hilariously funny. Even though his head is large, it can make it difficult to play Petey in Mario Cart but it’s more enjoyable to be the first. Petey Piranha is a classic veteran of the Mario series, and it is a surprise to find out that one of the five open spots wasn’t for Petey.

Pauline Changes from Damsel-in-Distress to the Mayor of New Donk City

Pauline is a fan favorite that has been a part of the Mario franchise since the beginning. When she first became the mayor of New Donk City in Super Mario Odyssey HTML1, she was the damsel in need of help that Mario saved way back in Donkey Kong. Pauline was received with open arms by the Super Mario family. She’s been featured in a variety of sports games in addition to Mario Kart Tour. Pauline’s sultry appearance and her mayor status are what set her apart from other Super Mario characters. It is easy to see how the fans love her.

Kamek, the Magikoopa deserves a spot On the Roster

Kamek is the character that is most in demand for Mario Kart8 Deluxe. This old Magikoopa is Bowser’s advisor and has only been available on the mobile Mario Kart Tour. Kamek first made an appearance in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island. He was the one who looked after Baby Bowser and was the principal antagonist. Kamek later became the main enemy in all Yoshi games, and he is frequently one of Mario’s last bosses before facing off against Bowser. Kamek is a well-known figure across the entire Nintendo franchise.

Donkey Kong without Diddy Kong Feels off

Diddy Kong might not be the most well-known monkey left out of Mario Kart 8 (that would be Funky Kong), but his presence will be missed. Diddy Kong happens to be Donkey Kong’s nephew and companion in the Donkey Kong Country game, and it’s a bit strange to be the only DK as the only player on the roster. Dixie and Funky were featured previously in Mario Kart. Although they’d be great to see in Mario Kart8 Deluxe, Diddy seems like the ideal option. Diddy Kong’s prior Mario Kart appearances were in Double Dash! !, Mario Kart Wii, and Mario Kart Tour.

This is the perfect time to celebrate Princess Zelda’s First Debut

Their Mario Kart debut has been much overdue. Fans are waiting to meet Princess Zelda. The Legend of Zelda is an iconic Nintendo classic it was released on the NES. However, the franchise was not integrated into Mario Kart until Link was introduced in Mario Kart 8. There are now several versions of Link accessible to players and includes a horse-shaped motorcycle and a Hyrule-inspired track. Tears of the Kingdom is close to release, with many speculations that Zelda could have her most significant role in the franchise to date, so it seems like the right time to include her in the team of racing.

There are two waves to DLC It’s difficult to predict who the mystery characters will be. Funky Kong and Dixie Kong Jr, Donkey Kong Jr., Wigglers Honey Queen, Koopa Paratroopa, and R.O.B. are just a handful of characters who could have been in Mario Kart. Nintendo did promise to return characters, but they didn’t specify if they would all return, so hopefully, that means there’s the possibility of a new character joining the vast Mario Kart roster. We will only know the results of this test in time, but we are eager to see what the five characters of the final game will be.
