How a Female Lead Will Change the Pokémon Anime for the Better

Liko is the first female protagonist of the Pokemon anime. This is the positive impact that such a move could have on the Pokemon franchise. have had many loyal fans over the past 25 years. They come from all types of lives, of all genders, and come from all over the world. It’s no surprise that the series has been around for so long. However, there is one aspect that the Pokemon anime is yet to discover: a female protagonist.

With the announcement of two new protagonists, Liko and Roy, there’s no doubt that many new fans will join the fandom. Here’s what the Pokemon franchise can benefit from having a female character.

Liko Provides Female Fans with a Relatable MC

Liko will be able to connect with a lot of Pokemon female Pokemon fans when the brand-new Pokemon anime is broadcast in Japan and the West. Liko like Ash will be the primary character. This means that her goals and dreams will not be snubbed by her male counterparts which will let the audience know that they are more than just Ash Ketchum’s substitutes.

As of now, Liko is a blank canvas for her fans. Fans can envision her goals and expectations for her character. They can also imagine what Pokemon she’d like. The anime is still in its infancy and no information has been released about the two protagonists and their personalities, the fans are left to guess about their hopes and goals in light of the plot of the games. The fans of Pokemon ScarletViolet, and the Pokemon mainline video games are thrilled by this latest development. The Pokemon franchise has not focused on the male protagonist or a character that takes part in fights in the gym to pursue the Pokemon League.

Iris could be part of this group because she was the Pokemon League Champion for the Unova Region. However, Iris’s battles weren’t displayed on the screen. The fans were unable to enjoy them or watch Iris and her team grow as she successfully pursued her dream and was crowned league champion. The fans will be thrilled should Liko decides to join the Pokemon League and become the champion of the Paldea Region. As the series develops, viewers will be able to see Liko as well as her team grow in the same way as Ash. Although the anime’s gym leaders and coordinators are amazing and well-loved, it would be exciting to have a female leader follow Ash’s lead.

Liko’s goals will not be Sidelined

In the course of Ash’s adventures in the series, in the series, numerous girls and women have been important to Ash. But, they were often left out when it came to Ash’s goals. Liko’s goals and ambitions are likely to be at the forefront of anime alongside Roy’s. Liko and Roy will hopefully receive the same attention and character development.

Female characters in shonen anime, like Pokémon, aren’t considered to be as equal to male characters. Creators tend to have their female leads too powerful and emotional (thereby running the risk of them being labeled Mary Sues by their fans). Women who are hot or focused on relationships isn’t a bad decision, but these characteristics are overdone, and many viewers find them boring and insipid. Liko is a brand new appealing, relatable, and fascinating heroine that fans could enjoy. Liko could also be a role model for young women.

It would be fascinating to see a female protagonist in the Pokemon anime after watching Ash in his adventures over a long. Fans would love new thrilling adventures if there were a female character. Although girls and boys do not have to be fundamentally distinct, some social norms apply to both genders. It might be fascinating to observe Liko being treated in the show in comparison to Roy who is the male lead. And it is telling that at the moment the majority of Pokemon fans are more attracted to Liko than Roy.

Liko Ash vs. Ash – Which is the stronger character?

No matter how many people the Pokemon series has, the old ones will continue to compare the show to earlier seasons of anime. That means there will definitely be fans who will look at Liko with the adored Ash Ketchum. Fans are not able to make a comparison between Ash and Liko because there’s so little information on the new Pokémonanime. There is too little known about Liko and Roy for arguments or discussion.

Although this idea may be unappealing to many fans, this topic may bring up interesting discussions among fans. For instance, when Liko decides she wants to pursue gym battles, with the goal of challenging the Pokemon League, many older fans will compare her motivations with those of Ash. They could soon become old but as long as arguments are made honestly, the discussion can be very informative and provide valuable information about the character of both.
